LeisureLAB ging op onderzoek in andere steden waar we ondernemers opzochten die ook klein beginnen met Leisure initiatieven die sociaal impact hebben in de stad/wijk. We waren in Berlijn, Kopenhagen en Eindhoven.

In Berlijn spraken we met Joey van Berlin Braves. In Kreuzberg leert een jonge generatie over toewijding door te samen te werken in een mix van sport en design. In deze inspirerende omgeving betekent dit veel voor de ontwikkeling van hun manier van kijken en zelfsturing.
• Collaboration met: Nike, subsidie, evenementen opdrachten.
Wat opviel waren de mix van producten die BB biedt, waarmee ze de financiering van het project in eigen hand houden. BerlinBraves mixt sport, design, fashion en event organisatie.

Elgersma, the Berlin Braves are a community sports club that focuses not only on athletic performance, but on creative expression as well. We’re a microcosm of our city’s dynamic and international community, and we’re here to live and showcase our progressive approach towards athletics and urban sports. Our goal is to continue to do all of the things we love, give back to our city by motivating and involving the next generation and build a community of like-minded sports enthusiasts, creatives and personalities here in Berlin. Uplifting the young generation and changing their way of viewing performance while providing personal, engaging and fun environment is where our commitment is rooted. In 2017, we moved into our new Headquarters right in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg. Since then this has become the official home for our club’s family and friends. our hq also serves as our creative studio and store, where we develop our own designs, projects and collaborate with various international brands and creatives.

Het Be’kech anti-café trok de aandacht van de studenten door de locatie middenin een inpopulair woonwijk. Het café biedt een werkplek voor 5 cent per minuut, inclusief eten en drinken. Als entrepreneur kan je je ideeën daar meteen testen en delen. Het onderliggend programma heeft aandacht voor armoede (betalen naar vermogen), sexuele diversiteit via avond programmering (praten over sex voor islamitische vrouwen), onbekende cultuur in de wijk (bv vogue programma).
